Too often, prayer is regarded as a “spiritual discipline” – something that “good Christians” must do. Instead, prayer shouldn’t be thought of as a discipline, but as a lifeline. Our human weaknesses combined with the temptations to sin we face everyday make the practice of prayer a necessity – as Christians, we can survive without prayer, but we will never thrive without prayer.
