2019-03-17 Rediscovering Jesus
(Revelation 2:1-7)
Mahatma Ghandi once remarked to a missionary, "I like your Christ.  I do not like your Christians.  Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."  This sentiment expresses our need as Christians and as the Church to "Rediscover Jesus."  In this message, Pastor Matt takes a close look at the Church in Ephesus to discover why a church that had been founded on a passionate commitment to Jesus Christ later drifted away from a center-focus on Jesus.

    2019-03-03 Worship Through Holiness
    (Romans 12:1-3)
Personal holiness has become an unpopular subject in Western Christianity for a number of reasons.  We've forgotten that the pursuit of personal holiness is the same as the pursuit of personal Christ-likeness!  Holiness isn't an achievement.  Holiness is a form of active, living, personal worship that occurs as we allow the Holy Spirit to make us more like Jesus in every area and relationship in our lives.

    2019-02-24 Worship Through Work
    (Ecclesiastes 9:10)
We spend more of our waking time at our work than on any other activity in our lives!  Our work should be transformed into the greatest act of worship that we have at our disposal.  God wants us to learn how to integrate our work-life into our faith-life so that our work changes from being labor or a profession to being worship.

    2019-02-17 Worship Through Praise
    (Psalm 150)
We limit ourselves whenever we confine our praise of God to a few minutes in church.  Since praise is part of worship and worship of God reaches into every area of our lives, praise of God is meant to fill and flood every part, every activity, and every occasion of our lives!

    2019-02-10 Worship Through Giving
    (2Samuel 24:18-25)
Since our worship of God goes beyond the church and touches every area of our lives our worship of God is also reflected in our giving!  God wants us to become worshippers by becoming Givers - being a Giver isn't about the act of giving, but the attitude behind our giving.

    2019-01-27 Worship Through Obedience
    (1Samuel 15)
Obedience is one of the most difficult topics to preach on because disobedience has been instilled in our hearts as the first sin of humanity and enshrined in our culture as a near-virtue.  This makes our obedience of God the purest form of worship we can possibly give to God - AND - this makes our disobedience of God the worst form of anti-worship we can give God.

    READY!
    (Exodus 12 & 13)
Why is it that so many Christians always seem to be getting ready, but seldom actually doing what they're getting ready for?
In this special message, Pastor Matt takes a look at Exodus chapters 12 & 13 for FOUR areas where God has already gotten His people ready to do anything that the life of faith in following Jesus requires!

    (John 4:19-24)
At the beginning of this series, Pastor Matt takes a look at Jesus' teaching on what true worship is and where true worship occurs.  Worship of God must move beyond the four walls of the church and spill over into every area of our lives.

2019-01-06 Faith for A Million Problems
    (2Chronicles 14:8-15)
It isn't always the BIG problem that overwhelms us and challenges our Faith in God - its the constant, nagging presence of a million little problems that do!  Together, these problems add up to a problem that is beyond our natural resources and abilities - it is at these times that we need to discover Faith for A Million Problems!

Vineyard Assembly of God is a growing church - so much so that we've outgrown our current facilities.  We have an architect's plan for a modest expansion, but with costs here on the island of Martha's Vineyard, the total plan is budgeted at one-million dollars.  Vineyard Assembly of God is believing God for a Million-Dollar Miracle!

2018-12-30 How to Pray for Faith
    (Luke 17:1-6)
We all want to know "How To" do or obtain something.  Most Christians want to know "How To" pray for faith - but it is important to realize that when the Apostles prayed and said to Jesus, "Increase our faith!" they were doing so after hearing Jesus' teaching on the high morality and heart-change he expects of all His followers.  In this message, we learn what to expect and how to pray for the faith we need to live life the way Jesus expects us to.

    2018-12-16 Real Faith
    (1Peter 1:3-9)
Sometimes its easy to detect the counterfeit, the fake - other times, it isn't so easy to detect the difference between the Real and the Fake, the Genuine and the Counterfeit.  As Christians, our faith in God is often diluted by faith in faith, faith in self, faith in other people or other things other than in Jesus Christ.  This is why God uses the difficulties of our life to refine our faith in Him.

    2018-12-09 When Faith Grows Up
    (Hebrews 11:24-27)
We begin our life with God through faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.  This is our "mustard-seed" of faith that is meant to grow-up.  As Moses grew in faith in God, he successfully passed through three major stages of spiritual growth - each stage leading him ever closer to God!  We are called as faith-followers of Jesus to allow our faith in God to grow-up in the same way.

    2018-12-02 The Birthplace of Faith
    (Romans 10:9-17)
Faith in God is born in a heart that is after God.  When you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and your Savior and Lord you are born-again.  That faith is your "mustard-seed of faith" that is sufficient for ANY situation, circumstance, test, difficulty, struggle, need, or vision that you may have!  Once faith is born in your heart when you became a follower of Jesus - your faith is meant to grow as you follow Jesus.

    2018-12-02 The Birthplace of Faith
    (Romans 10:9-17)
Often, Christians are needlessly stressed by the thought that they lack the faith they need for a miracle, a healing, a breakthrough, a deliverance, etc.  Since faith is not a force, but a strong persuasion about who Jesus Christ is, then every believer in Jesus Christ already has a "mustard-seed" of faith birthed in their hearts.  Faith doesn't need to be obtained - faith needs to be grown!
