2018-01-07 Naomi, From Bitter to Blessed
Naomi was a woman embittered by a cascade of difficulties in life - the deaths of her husband and both of her sons, and a sudden drop into abject poverty.  Despite her extreme bitterness against God, God in his extreme love worked in the circumstances of her life to help her move from bitter to blessed in her heart, mind, and life.

2017-12-31 Rahab, From Ruined to Redeemed
In the family of Jesus, there was a woman named Rahab.  She was a woman who (although outwardly prosperous) was inwardly ruined - yet, God didn't reject her but instead completely redeemed her!  No human life is too ruined for God to love, no human heart is too damaged for God to heal.

    2017-12-24 Christmas Prophecies
Chapter 2 of the Gospel of Matthew records FOUR prophecies about Jesus, each written hundreds of years prior to Jesus' birth, that were all specifically fulfilled by Jesus.  Only the Bible dares make such detailed predictions of the future, and only the Bible has a 100% accurate record of seeing its predictions fulfilled.

    2017-12-17 Christmas Character
One of the most important men in history was a Jewish carpenter named Joseph.  A man handpicked by God to be the step-father of Jesus, yet, the Bible doesn't record a single word that this man said - instead, the Bible records what this man did.  A person's character is known by what they do, not by what they say and in this message, we see the kind of character that God is looking for in all of us.

    2017-12-03 Christmas Questions(1)
When they were visited by the angel Gabriel, both Zechariah and Mary asked a question.  Zechariah's question was predicated by his lack of faith in God, and Mary's question was predicated by her faith in God.  What questions are you asking when you are confronted by the often challenging and difficult teachings and promises in the Bible?

    2017-11-26 Christmas Choices(1)
We all make choices.  Usually we're concerned about making RIGHT choices instead of WRONG choices.  The message of Christmas, however, isn't about making right or wrong choices, but about choosing to make the BEST choices instead of merely making GOOD choices.  In this message, we see how the shepherds of Bethlehem made the BEST choices, and we're challenged to do the same.

    2017-11-19 Living Thanksgiving
Most of us think of the Thanksgiving holiday as something we do, but Thanksgiving (especially for Christians) is supposed to be something that we live!  In this message, Pastor Matt takes a look at the three annual festivals of thanksgiving that God asked the ancient Israelites to celebrate, and what their message is for us today.

    2017-11-12 The Missing Ingredient
Whenever a single ingredient is missing in cooking, in chemistry, in business, people can taste, feel, and sense that the end-product is deficient in some way.  As Christians, we pride ourselves in having faith, being able to quote the promises of God from the Bible, and telling others about Jesus Christ - BUT - we often lack a vital missing ingredient, Thanksgiving!

2017-11-05 Is Worship Your Window or Your Mirror
God intends our worship to be a window through which we can see Him and feel the refreshing wind of the Holy Spirit in our lives.  Regrettably, we often make worship a mirror by which we focus on ourselves rather than on God.

2017-10-29 Will You Meet God In The Dark
In Exodus chapter 20, Moses goes to meet God "in the thick darkness."  When Jesus hung on the cross for our sins, darkness covered the sunlight.  Jesus has entered into the darkness of our lives - our pain, our regrets, our sins, our idols - and invites us to come and meet with Him there in our darkness, so we can be healed.

2017-10-22 Where We Hide Our Idols
An idol is a manufactured god - a god we make for ourselves that we shape our lives around in exchange for security, identity, and comfort.  It is entirely possible for Christians to have idols in addition to their faith in Jesus Christ.  In this message from Exodus 20, Pastor Matt discovers where Christians hide their idols - so we can uncover our own idols, and remove them.

In this final message of this series, Pastor Matt takes a look at what YouVersion identified as the passage of Scripture being most downloaded and most shared by the Christians in the Australian Church.  When we're faced by challenges and obstacles in what looks like a dark-place - we're called to "Trust in the Lord with all our hearts..."

In this message, Pastor Matt leads the church in listening in on what the Holy Spirit is saying to the South Korean Church - as discovered by YouVersion in 2015.  One of the greatest challenges we face is in viewing our spiritual state through the lens of our economic condition.  Success or failure isn't determined by what we have or what we don't have, but on who we know and believe - Jesus Christ!
